About Me

I am a practising artist in Sussex.
My work has several distinctive qualities most strikingly it is often highly coloured with bold, contrasting forms.  I try to convey a sense of energy and movement through the use of sweeping shapes and dynamic painting.  The imagery evolves through a process of overpainting, key forms, colours and shapes emerge that I hope create a certain resonance.
I feel that this process helps define and give shape to images that communicate something beyond my conscious comprehension. 
I believe that we all have a deep-rooted, instinctive urge to create images and a natural desire to give shape to feelings about the world and what it is to be human, in all its glorious incarnations.
